Step 01
Spot the brand or model name
Begin by checking for a logo or brand name on the frame itself. Many pairs also carry a distinct model name, typically found on the inside of the temple arm. As an example, Ray-Ban is the brand, whereas Wayfarer refers to the model.
Step 02
Locate your model number
Manufacturers generally print the model number inside the temple arm or along the bridge. It's usually a couple of letters — think 'RB' for Ray-Ban or 'OO' for Oakley — followed by a string of numbers.
Step 03
Check your lens width
That number string usually contains three measurements: lens width, bridge width and temple length. Take '54□16 140' as an example — a 54mm lens, 16mm bridge and 140mm temple. It's the first figure, the lens width, that we need most for your replacement order. Note that brands such as Persol, Prada and Ray-Ban frequently release the same model in several different sizes, so it pays to check this carefully rather than assume.
